What we know so far


The opposition Pheu Thai party on 25 January put forward a no-confidence motion against ten members of cabinet, including Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha. The no-confidence debate began on 16 February and should last until 19 February. The vote is set on 20 February.


This is the second time since the ruling Palang Pracharat Party (PPRP) won the majority of seats in parliament in the last general elections that it will be censured by the opposition in a no-confidence debate.
